Dental Assistant - Certificate Dental Assistants perform a variety of patient care duties in the office and laboratory. They assist dentists chairside, take x-rays, maintain records and equipment, prepare patients for treatment and instruct patients in oral hygiene. Courses include dental office administration, dental anatomy and physiology, preventive dentistry as well as chairside assisting theory and lab.

Massage Therapist - Certificate Massage therapists use professional touch in the application of massage techniques. Working independently or as part of the health care team, Massage Therapists provide various levels of care and support to their clients that include massage for pleasure and relaxation, as well as therapeutic massage for specific conditions such as carpal tunnel, low back pain, and headaches. Massage Therapists also provide services to special needs populations such as athletes, the elderly, and pregnant women. In addition to proficiency in the practical application of massage techniques, Massage Therapists must have detailed knowledge of anatomy and physiology, pathology, kinesiology, as well as strong interpersonal skills and professional ethics.

Medical Administrative Assistant - Certificate The Medical Administrative Assistant is usually the first person patients meet in a medical facility, whether by telephone or in person. Medical Administrative Assistants are sought after to work in hospitals, clinics, specialty offices, veterinary offices, dental offices, nursing homes and physical therapy practices. Courses include office management, medical terminology as well as medical law and ethics.

Medical Assistant - Certificate Medical Assistants aid doctors and nurses in delivering healthcare - ranging from performing administrative duties to direct patient care - in health centers, health insurance companies, urgent care centers, clinics and the physician's office. Upon graduation from our associate degree program, you will be eligible to sit for the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (also known as NCLEX-RN), administered by the State Board of Nursing. After passing the exam, you will become licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state administering the exam. As an RN, you can work in hospitals, healthcare facilities, clinics, community health organizations, long-term care facilities and in the home. No matter where you provide patient care, as a Registered Nurse you will be part of a valued healthcare team, working alongside physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Pharmacy Technician - Certificate    Pharmacy Technicians assist and support licensed Pharmacists in providing health care and medication to patients. Pharmacy Technicians often perform a central role in the preparation and delivery of drug products and as a liaison between the Doctor, the Pharmacist and the patient. Courses include medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, chemistry, pharmacology as well as pharmacy law and ethics. Phlebotomy Technician - Certificate The Phlebotomy Technician is a member of the medical laboratory team and is trained to draw blood samples from people of all ages. Phlebotomy is often a stepping stone to other positions available in the medical field. Courses include phlebotomy, anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. Radiography - Associate of Occupational Science Start your career as a radiologic technologist with Pima Medical Institute's associate's degree in radiography. Radiologic Technologists take x-rays and administer contrast medias for diagnostic purposes. They explain procedures and position patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately radiographed. Other duties may include keeping patient records, preparation of work schedules or even managing a radiology department. Respiratory Therapy- Associate of Occupational Science Respiratory Therapy is a healthcare specialty that offers a set of unique challenges in the areas of prevention, diagnosis, treatment, management and rehabilitation of patients with lung problems. Veterinary Assistant - Certificate Veterinary Assistants feed and bathe animals, administer medication as prescribed by the Veterinarian and assist the Veterinary team in the treatment of animals.
